About

Taylor Mroczkowski LMHC, LCPC, LPC

It is so important to find a therapist that you feel comfortable and safe with, and feel you can share with openly, without judgement. There are many therapists and we all have different strengths and specialties. Part of my job is finding you a right fit. I am here because I deeply care about getting to know you and sharing in your experiences, struggles, hardships, and successes. Therapy is a space for everyone, and there are not many spaces out there like it. I value humans, we are all imperfect, we are all trying to find where we belong, and we strive to be understood and seen. I have faith that everyone can find their belonging. No one is ever too far gone. We all need support to meet our needs, and that's okay. I hope that this can be a place of support and connection for you.

A little bit about myself. I grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania and went to a local college where I was a college athlete and really began to find my passion in psychology. I knew I wanted to pursue graduate school and when the time came, I attended graduate school in Chicago and immersed myself working in various settings throughout my time in graduate school and thereafter. I value family, connection, humor, genuineness, growth and transparency. On my down time, I love to cook, spend time outside, travel,  watch sports, fish, and most of all- spend time with my family. I feel truly grateful to have a career that I love and am passionate about. I have been told that I have a calming energy, and I hope that I can bring a sense of calmness or stillness into your life. We all get wrapped up in the busyness and the expectations, myself included. Let's make a space for you.

I am a licensed mental health counselor
I am fully licensed in FL, IL & TX.

I have experience working in a variety of settings. I started my career in graduate school where I worked full time in a residential setting for eating disorders. I then transitioned to a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)/ Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for general mood and anxiety and worked with young adults and adults. After a few years, I started to split my time between the PHP/ IOP program and a private practice, and began seeing individual clients. I have found that working in these varied treatment settings has helped me understand the appropriate level of support and care someone needs, as well as gave me the opportunity to see firsthand how resilient and strong all humans are, regardless of struggle or circumstance.

Education:

I attended undergraduate at Millersville University in Pennsylvania and received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I then went on to receive my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology: Counseling from Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL.

My Approach:

I have an integrative approach to therapy. I believe that everyone needs something different, therapy is not a "one size fits all," and I value meeting you where you're at. First and foremost, I am client-centered, meaning I really believe you are the expert of your life and experiences, and I respect those experiences and will learn from them to support you in your goals. I am also strengths based, it is important to identify your strengths and build upon them as you are doing the work of therapy. I have a strong background and knowledge in cognitive and behavior skills, coming from evidence-based Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I can give you strategies to more effectively navigate your thoughts, emotions, behaviors and physical sensations.

I am partial to psychodynamic therapy and believe that we can learn a lot through each other, evaluating the therapeutic relationship and discussing what comes up in session that we may be reacting to.

Lastly, I am known to use some humor and have found it to be an integral part in building a trusting relationship. It's okay to not be okay. It's also okay to laugh and smile.

About

Madison Hosier LMHC, LCPC

I'd love to work with you to take steps towards your ideal life. I work with clients struggling with eating disorders, body image concerns, anxiety, depression, life transitions and burnout. I believe everyone has the potential to create the life they want while still appreciating their present experience. I will work with you on this by creating a nonjudgmental environment that creates a sense of safety and dare I say, enjoyment, in your therapeutic journey. You can expect a lot of talk about values and the use of dog and Harry Potter metaphors in your work with me!

A little bit about myself. I grew up on the east coast of Florida and attended undergrad at University of Central Florida. I decided to to continue my education and attended graduate school in Illinois at Northwestern University. Values are something I often talk about in the therapeutic setting. Values are foundational to the human experience. Authenticity and transparency are foundational to my human experience. I strive to bring my genuine self into sessions, creating a connection built on trust and openness and acknowledging that I may not have all the answers but I am committed to working collaboratively with you. On my down time, I like to spend time wondering what my dog is thinking about and find new coffee shops in the neighborhood.

About

Mari Cruz LMHC

I always strive to create a safe and empowering environment for my clients where they can be themselves without fear of judgment. Every person is going to have unique needs when it comes to therapy and I pride myself in meeting my clients where they’re at. Whether you need extra support during a difficult time in your life, you’re seeking coping skills to better handle tough situations as they arise, or you’re wanting someone to hold space for you as you process past traumas, I am here for you. My clients are curious, motivated, and ready to become the best versions of themselves.

A little about myself. I was born and raised in Florida, having lived all over the state in Miami, Jacksonville, and Tampa. I’ve always been in a helping field: I started my career as a middle school Reading teacher, then became a child advocate, and finally a therapist who specializes in trauma. In my free time, I love to read, go to concerts and music festivals, be at the beach or the pool, and spend time with family and friends. To decompress, I enjoy doing relaxing hobbies like crossword puzzles or fiber arts like crochet and cross-stitching. The brightest part of any day for me is when I get to spend quality time with my cat Charlie and my dog Lucy! I was always told growing up that I was surprisingly calm under pressure and I’ve taken that skill into my therapy practice. No matter what has happened to you or what is going on presently, I will be there to face it head on with you with a calming breath and an open mind.

I am a licensed mental health counselor
I am fully licensed in FL & TX.

I have experience working in a variety of therapy settings including community mental health and private practice. I have worked with clients as young as 3 and as old as 81. Working with such diverse populations has helped me understand how to individualize support in counseling sessions and how similar we all really are at our core. Across all ages, ethnicities, diagnoses, and all presenting symptoms I’ve found this to be true: we all want to feel heard, feel seen, and feel respected. As your therapist, I will always make that my top priority when working together.

Education:

I attended The University of South Florida for undergrad and received my Bachelor of Arts in Communication. I then received my Master of Science in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University.

My Approach:

My therapy approach is eclectic and tailored to what my clients need when they come to see me. Some clients prefer very structured sessions where they can know what to expect week-to-week, while others like the freedom of choosing how a session will look based on what is happening in their lives that week. I am happy to work together to find the rhythm and cadence of sessions that fit best for you. I predominantly work with adults who are looking to process and overcome trauma they experienced as children. While I use many different modalities on a daily basis, I specialize in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). I often work with clients who have multiple diagnoses and complex trauma.

I incorporate mindfulness techniques and somatic experiencing (building a mind-body connection) to help my clients relieve intense anxiety and panic symptoms. I also utilize a strength-based approach, where we identify and use your personal strengths to help meet your therapeutic goals while we continue to strengthen those skills together. During sessions with me, you can expect to laugh (laughter is medicine!), sometimes cry (it’s cathartic, I promise!), and learn a little more about yourself each time we meet.
