About

Megan Silvestri LMHC, LPC

I’m a direct, compassionate therapist who believes in being real—with you, and for you.
If you’re ready to stop just surviving and start feeling like yourself again, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. I support kids, teenagers and adults in my practice.

In our work together, you don’t have to hold it all together.
You don’t have to be perfect, productive, or even polite.
This is your space to exhale—to show up messy, anxious, exhausted, angry, or heartbroken.
I’ll help you untangle the patterns, calm the mental noise, and reconnect with the version of you that doesn’t have to earn rest or love.

I am originally from New Jersey, and relocated to Florida in 2003 to attend the University of Central Florida. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, visiting the beach and theme parks, and caring for my pets. My family and I are passionate animal lovers.

I have served children, teens, and adults in both individual and group therapy formats, and am also a certified school counselor in the state of FL.

I have extensive training in treating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, school-related issues, and life transitions, and have worked with individuals in crisis, outpatient, substance abuse, and court-mandated programs. I have also facilitated psychoeducational groups, parent support programs, and professional trainings, and have collaborated closely with schools, families, and community agencies to support client care.

In addition to my clinical work, I am a Qualified Supervisor for registered mental health counselor interns and have experience providing education and training to professionals working with youth and families.

My Approach:

My counseling approach is individualized, collaborative, and compassionate. I believe that therapy should feel like a safe and supportive space where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered. I tailor sessions to each client’s unique needs, strengths, and goals.

Clients can expect a warm, engaged, and direct clinician when helpful. My goal is to help you gain insight, develop effective coping strategies, and work toward meaningful and lasting change—whether addressing current stressors or long-standing challenges.

I strive to always provide care that is gentle, supportive, and grounded in evidence-based practices, while honoring each client’s lived experience.
